OUR STORY

1. Origins

In 2010, the iPhone was still a novelty, and free-to-play gaming was just beginning to make its mark on Facebook. During this transformative period, Corey (CEO and co-founder) was launching his career in the gaming industry, exploring a mysterious new genre: social games.

Meanwhile, Brad (COO and co-founder) was off navigating the world of contemporary art as a painter, dealing with collectors, gallerists, dealers and curators!

2. Hutch

Fate united Corey and Brad at Hutch in 2017. By then, both were deeply immersed in free-to-play gaming, having closely observed and participated in its rapid expansion. At Hutch, they discovered a new paradigm of game development, centred on independence, culture, and employee well-being — principles they would later infuse into Salto.

They launched a new project together, laying the foundation for what would ultimately become F1® Clash. Within 5 years, the game became a global smash hit, totalling over 25 million installs and $150,000,000 in revenue, with a team now grown to 40 people.

3. Taking the leap

Encouraged by this success and driven by a shared vision, Corey and Brad founded Salto Games in September 2023. Their ambition was clear: to blend the agility and creativity of small teams with the power of state-of-the-art tools, all while catering to a maturing audience of casual players ready for more challenging experiences!

They also aspired to carry forwards the many lessons from Hutch: being people-first and fostering a strong culture that endorses autonomous, happy and empowered teams.
